Korkyra’s baroque magic continues with ensemble Odhecaton

Yesterday’s concert of a remarkable Italian vocal ensemble Odhecaton enchanted the audience in St. Nicholas Church presenting the musical repertoire of the major renaissance composers Des Pres, Weerbecke, Isaac and Compere. The refine sound of the ensemble Odhecaton and it’s artistic director and conductor Paolo da Col justified the words of a renown critics that name them “pioneers of a new interpretative approach to the performance of polyphonic music: a fluid and expressive reading based on textual declamation”.
