ArtiCoolAzione

Ensemble ArtiCoolAzione founded by Diego Leverić is a young baroque ensamble settled in Italy. Members of ArtiCoolAzione are young musicians specialists in early music that are interested in all baroque genres and especially in a historically authentic interpretation, thus playing on original instruments from that period or their quality replicas. The ensemble consists of Nicola Brovelli on baroque violoncello, Luigi Accardo on harpsichord and Diego Leverić on lutes. For the performance on Korkyra Baroque Festival 2016 they will be reinforced by a countertenor Leandro Marziotte.
Acclaimed by international public, ensemble ArtiCoolAzione has already performed in Croatia, Italy, and France. After a long research in all the aspects of baroque music, ensemble ArtiCoolAzione decided to make a step forward enriching musical scene with new unplublished baroque music. They started to record still unpublished napolitain cantatas for Alto and Basso continuo by Leonardo Leo, Leonardo Vinci and Adolf Hasse, whose music directly reflects the early 18th-century Napoli, and its related musical styles. Musical repertoire Napoli riscoperta is trying to reflect a taste of pupils and colleagues from that period. Beside the cantatas, the program contains also solo pieces for theorbo, harpsichord and sonata for violoncello and basso continuo.
The name of the ensemble – ArtiCoolAzione formed by three independent words: Art, Cool, Action – embody the character of it’s performers who insist on being innovative in every single musical detail.
