Tibor Naglić

Tibor Naglić is a Croatian pianist and music educator, widely recognized for his versatility and engagement across various musical genres. Born in Zagreb in 1979, he began studying piano at the age of eight. He received his early musical education in Velika Gorica and Zagreb under Professor Ivanka Kordić and later continued his studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, where he earned his degree in piano performance under Professor Czesław Stańczyk. He completed his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, in the class of Professor Lovro Pogorelić, earning his master’s degree in 2004. He also studied harpsichord with Professors Marek Toporowski and Višnja Mažuran.
Throughout his career, Naglić has performed extensively both in Croatia and abroad, receiving numerous prestigious awards. He was a laureate of the National Competition of HDGPP in 1993, 1995, and 1997 and won prizes at international piano competitions in Moncalieri and Stresa (Italy, 1995). In 1996, he was awarded the Croatian Radio “Radio Podij” Prize, and in 1997 won the Grand Prix at the “F. Chopin” Competition for Foreign Students in Ostrów, Poland. In 2002, he received the Best Piano Accompaniment Award at the “Darko Lukić” platform in collaboration with violinist Bojan Čičić.
His repertoire spans a wide range of classical works, and he has collaborated with many renowned Croatian musicians, including Marco Graziani, Bojan Čičić, Eva Mach, Nika Zlatarić, Krešimir Pustički, Krešimir Starčević, Pavao Mašić, Krešimir Bedek, Srđan Bulat, Lovro Peretić, and others.
In addition to his work as an artistic collaborator and chamber musician, he is a member of the ensemble Acoustic Project, which blends classical music with elements of jazz, folk, and rock.
He is currently employed as an Artistic Advisor in the String Department of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, where he works with students and young artists, and is also a regular collaborator of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra.
Tibor Naglić contributes significantly to the richness of the Croatian music scene through both his pedagogical work and his extensive performing career. He is a highly sought-after collaborative pianist and chamber musician, especially among string and guitar performers. His strong interest in accompaniment and chamber music developed in particular through his work at the Academy of Music in Zagreb.
After graduating from the Vatroslav Lisinski Music School in Zagreb, he continued his studies in Katowice (Poland), where he completed his degree in 2000 under Professor Czesław Stańczyk.
